Alessandro Cresti, born in 1990, lives in Sinalunga in the hills around Siena. Sport is an integral part of his life, even at work: he’s a salesman in a sportswear shop. In his early twenties, he became interested in cycling, taking up mountain biking in particular.
At 25, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but continued to pursue his interests – first and foremost, cycling. Looking for a way to further and deepen his knowledge of Paralympic sport, he came across the OSO portal and the Obiettivo3 project. The technicians at O3 gave him a helmet and bike and Alessandro kept pedalling faster and faster in pursuit of great goals. Once he joined Obiettivo3 and got to know other athletes with the same condition as him, he founded the Sclerobikers group, to share advice, concerns, questions and successes!
